Dan joined Praxis in August 2020 after a very successful 30-year P+C career. After joining Nationwide Insurance in 1994, he served in multiple field and staff leadership roles that showcased his ability to improve the long term performance of large field operations and to enhance the service, support, and tools provided by home office staff operations. He thrives on positioning claims and claims support operations for long term success by combining a strong bias for action with the ability to adapt and think strategically, while focusing on developing and inspiring others. Dan graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Economics, has earned his CPCU and AIC designations, and served as a NASP (National Association of Subrogation Professionals) board member from 2003-2005.                                             

Shane is one of the original founders of Praxis and has spent nearly his entire career at Praxis which started in the summer of 1999. Prior to Praxis, Shane was an independent insurance agent in the U.S. hospitality and hotel industry. Shane was the President of Praxis from 1999 – 2006 and has served in multiple leadership roles in all departments since. Today Shane is the Vice President of Sales for Praxis and is responsible for new business generation. Shane earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Ball State University in 1996. When Shane is not in the office or on the phone, he is likely out on his bicycle somewhere in the hills of southern Indiana.

Chris joined Praxis in October 2018. He is responsible for all financial reporting, accounting, treasury, and risk management functions for the Praxis companies. Chris started out his career in public accounting working for Katz, Sapper & Miller in Indianapolis, Indiana focusing on financial statement audit and attest services. Katz Sapper & Miller is a top 60 public accounting firm in the United States. His prior financial executive experiences include serving as Chief Financial Officer for a regional value-added distribution business and as Chief Financial Officer for a regional fleet maintenance service business. Chris is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, and the Institute of Management Accountants. He earned his graduate and undergraduate degrees at Manchester College.

Fresh out of Ball State University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Colby found his path to Praxis. Starting in operations he contributed to various roles helping to define policies, best practices, and standard operating procedures. His detailed knowledge positioned him as a crucial component in the development of Pulse, the proprietary software that Praxis uses to streamline the subrogation process. This led to his transition from operations into information technology focusing on system administration, network and system security, and policy and compliance. If he is not out camping with his family or at the pool, he is learning. Colby has earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GISP, and GISF designations. He is an active member of ISC2, SANs, and ISACA.
